From the album Lee Brothers (NSFW)

This was the first piece of music in what was to be the Lee Brothers first concept album. It told the story of Ray who grew up in a very conservative religious community. This is the only song we finished a final demo for. The other demos are very rough. I haven't ruled out finishing this.

Lyrics

Our story begins in a small mid-western town. Picket fences, apple trees, a school house and a local religious establishment.
Ray is born to Jack and Mary-Margaret who are born to their parents, who are born to their parents, who are born to their parents. Yeah that's smooth.
From day one Ray is sliced and diced and put into a world of religious humility.
All the people welcome Ray to their community as he is dipped into the "Magic Water"
All the children must be dipped into the magic water so they can pass into another life when this one is over, or Something like that.
Ray's young years tick by and at the age of 8 he discovers some horrible things.

They aint real no
They aint real
They aint real no
They aint real

Ray our joy our son
You’re not the only one
The bunny with the eggs is not so real
We know how you must feel

Run away
Santa Clause will not be here
Let me wipe away your tears
All you’ve ever known was just a lie
Let us tell you what happens when you die

Why are you telling me this?
Are you telling me more lies?
I’m afraid for my life again
What happens when I die?
Will I ever find peace again?
Will I ever see the light?
Will I ever smile again?
Momma tell me I will be alright, tell me I will be alright

The talking snake, the ark, the holy son
Rising from death, pillar of salt is true my son
Spread his word amongst the crowds
Once you die you’ll live above the clouds

Why are you telling me this?
Are you telling me more lies?
I don’t want to burn eternally
I want to live above the sky
Will I find peace in this life?
I know the next will be on high
Will I ever smile again?
Momma tell me I will be alright.
Tell me I will be alright
Tell me I will be alright.
